Girl Stuff

There's a few girly things that Julianna's discovered the past few weeks--the french braid and ballet. She loves to play with hair and stands in front of her mirror placing bows, hairbands, and ribbons in her hair. Another place we usually find her is in front of the bathroom mirror using soap and water to create the "no bangs" effect, of which she is particularly proud. So, added to this list of hair fun is a french braid. This is an activity where she's actually patient enough to let me finish both her hair and mine before rushing to do it her own way or just opting for something else to do.

Ballet is another new love after my trial in an "advanced" ballet (way too advanced for me!) with Rocio and a recent trip to see a ballet performance at the zoo. She has leotards, tights, tutus, and ballet shoes and couldn't resist dressing up like Aunt Rocio one evening. We also have a new DVD that teaches ballet positions. We'll see if it's something in which she continues to show interest.
