Gatlinburg
We took a little vacation to Gatlinburg just in time to see the pretty fall colors. Julianna loved "Tennessee", especially Cades Cove where she got a break from being strapped in the carseat. Here are some pictures from our trip. (Of course, the best ones are on Daddy's camera, so this is just a glimpse of all the fun.)
Day One - Travel Day
Matilyn turned 9 months old today and it really shows in her ablility to travel. She hardly cried at all and slept much of the time.
Day Two - Ripley's Aquarium and Pigeon Forge
We all enjoyed the aquarium and spent a little time afterwards taking pictures and enjoying the sunshine. For lunch we ate Chinese and then drove to Pigeon Forge for some shopping.
Back at the motel, we enjoyed hot chocolate and apple cider.
Daddy and JuJu drinking the hot cocoa. We were definitely up late this night, but Julianna kept us in stitches with her chocolate induced comedy! For example, Julianna had a candid conversation with a statue of a black bear holding a camera, saying things like, "Hey Bear, take my picture" while she posed and then saying, "I need to take this bear home with me."
Julianna thought these scarecrows were funny with the watering cans for heads. Every time we passed them, Julianna wanted her picture made.
Almost as interesting to Julianna were all of the pumpkins!
Day Three - Cades Cove and Smoky Mountain National Park

Day Four - Travel Home
The girls are dressed and ready to go home....yay! Don't they look cute in their pumpkin shirts?
Here, we stopped to look out over Tallulah Gorge on the back porch of a quaint store....only for a short time, though. We had to have time to trick-or-treat!
See, I told you she travels well now. (There's nothing like a chocolate chip cookie.)
