Temple of Heaven Park
Outside the Temple of Heaven, retirees engage in all sorts of activities from Western dancing to Tai Chi. Here, Billy is taking part in an exercise of balancing and passing a small ball from one person to another using a tennis type racket. This is all done to music they have playing in the background.
Silk Factory
After visiting the Temple of Heaven, we toured a silk factory showroom. The factory is actually located in the countryside. This picture shows the making of a silk rug that will take two years for these two ladies to complete.
Forbidden City
This is one of the buildings inside the Forbidden City. Just think, earlier in the 20th century, no person was allowed here except the emperor and his court. Most of the buildings are 300 years old and they all have thrones for the emperor and or princess. "The Last Emperor" was filmed here.
Summer Palace
Here, we are at the Summer Palace. This corridor is the longest in the world and has 8,000 different hand paintings!
Fuzhou
Well, we finally made it to Fuzhou and what a wonderful welcome it was to have the cribs waiting for us in our rooms. It was just so sweet and reality began to sink in!
