Bye Bye Fuzhou

Good Health



Talk about Chinese tradition! This is something else I read in "The Good Earth" by Pearl Buck. When a baby lives to be one month old, the family will boil eggs and dye them red to give to all the neighbors to show their excitement for the child. Julianna's nanny did this for us to wish us good health and safe travel.

Just before leaving the hotel in Fuzhou, we decided to walk around a bit. This is our last picture together in Julianna's home province of Fujian.

You just can't imagine how sweet this moment was. Caroline and Julianna were holding hands in the Fuzhou Airport just before we took this picture! It was so bittersweet to leave Fuzhou. It really all became real that Julianna was ours as we said goodbye to our guide, Peace, and approached the gate to board the airplane to Guangzhou.


Dance with Daddy



Once we arrived at The White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou, Julianna was in the BEST mood. She and Daddy were dancing in the lobby.
